The control center that has currently accepted Apple Watch by pressing the side button is a useful collection of switches and simple functions such as flashlight, water lock, Walkie-Talkie and iPhone ping. It is even better to customize the features that appear in the control center … provided you choose from a small list that Apple dictates.
However, since the start of Watchos 26, you seem to have a much wider range of choice options. Watchos 26, the main update of Apple Watch software, which was paid at WWDC 9 June and launched the public in the autumn, will reportedly see the Open UP Control Center for widgets and third -party features.
Tech -web 9to5Mac quotes Annymous “Reliable Source” and claims that Watchos 26 “allows developers to connect their widgets directly to the control center”. This could allow popular applications such as Spotify, Diet, Calm or Todoist to create easily available functions and switches of one click.
In addition, 9to5Mac claims that the inspection center itself will become more customizable after WWDC 2025. Just like a choice of multiple widgets, you will have more control over the layout via the Watch app on the iPhone. (Currently you have to modify the Apple Watch control center, a very limited process.)
Watchos 26 is one of several main software updates to be announced at WWDC 2025 9 June, along with iOS, MacOS and iPados. Last year it follows watch 11 and can still be called Watchos 12, but experts currently believe that Apple is planning a rebrand all its platforms to reflect a year rather than a version number.
